Selling With Us
How to sell in Auction
London Auctions accepts a wide range of antique, vintage, collectable and decorative items for sale. If you would like to consign with us, please bring your item in to our Chiswick saleroom for a free no obligation valuation from one of our valuers.
Alternatively you can bring in good quality photographs or email them to us at email@example.com
Valuations are available seven days a week, but its best to come in during the week before 5pm.
Once you have received a valuation, if you wish to enter your item or items for auction, we will ask you to fill in a vendor's receipt, which contains our terms and conditions.
Should you wish to apply a reserve price (below which the item will not be sold), please advise our valuer. Please also provide us with an email address and we will contact you immediately after the auction with your Post Sale Advice.
We hold a regular weekly sale on Monday at 3pm. We also hold specialist sales throughout the year. Once your item or items are booked in, they will be entered into the next appropriate auction.
Commission is charged at 15% + VAT on the hammer price.
We also charge a £5 + VAT lotting fee/entry fee per lot each sale the lot is entered into and a warranty fee of 1.5% + VAT of either the estimated low value or the reserve (if you applied one). The auction proceeds minus charges are paid out 28 working days after the auction date. Please ensure that we have your bank details so that we can pay you by bank transfer. Please also note that we can only pay you once the buyer has paid in full. You can view our Terms & Conditions here.
Lots are illustrated online free of charge.
If your item is unsold, we can either remove it from sale or re-enter it into the next appropriate sale. Lots are re-entered with a 25% reduction for the second auction, and then offered at no reserve. Note you will be liable for the seller charges on all unsold lots - unsold lots being collected will be released on payment of the seller charges.
If you would like to collect your item rather than re-enter it, please make arrangements to collect by no later than 2 days after the auction. Please note our storage charges for items that remain uncollected after 2 days - £5 per day for large items including furniture and part lots and £2 per day for small lots.
We charge the £5 + VAT lotting fee and the 1.5% + VAT warranty fee for each unsold lot. This will be charged upon collection of all unsold lots.
If you require any further information, please don't hesitate to contact us.
